Going live: TBnet Donations Page

Dear Friends and colleagues,

For 20 years, TBnet has brought together people, knowledge and research to advance the care for people affected by tuberculosis. The global impact is difficult to measure: more than 100 collaborative scientific publications with the TBnet label were possible through teamwork, collaboration and passion. TBnet academies, annual meetings, mentorships, webinars, and collaboration with partners like WHO, UNITE4TB etc. speak for themselves.

All of this was organized with minimal funding support. In order to continue our work, maintain our secretariat, and develop new projects, we need funding. Donor funding is very difficult to obtain, and TBnet is committed to maintaining its independence from corporate sponsorship. Therefore, in 2025 at the General Assembly, it was decided to introduce a “voluntary annual contribution” from members.

If you are able, please consider supporting the important work of TBnet annually with your donation. With your support, we can continue to drive innovative research, empower the next generation of researchers and clinicians, and help improve care for people affected by TB.

This contribution is and will always remain voluntary. If you are not in the position to contribute, you will still be fully part of TBnet and you will be able to participate in all of our activities.

50 Euro per year per member. We happily accept more - if you can - or less, if 50 Euros are too much. Every Euro will help to sustain our work.

Celebrating 20 Years of TBnet

We have produced a video to commemorate TBnet’s 20th birthday, and you can find it here on YouTube at https://youtu.be/R-Whsgl2jyw. The TBnet Steering Committee have produced a short video capturing all the unique and impactful aspects of Europe’s largest TB clinical research network. Please share this within your own networks to join in with the celebration as we appreciate where TBnet has been, and where it is going in the future.

TBnet Annual Meeting – Save the Date!

On 09APR2027 we will be hosting the TBnet Annual Meeting at ECDC in Stockholm. The details are still to be finalised, but expect an engaging array of talks relating to TBnet’s achievements over the past year, ongoing and planned research projects, and updates related to the broader field of TB research in Europe.

We will keep you updated via our website and email once further details are available and registration has opened.
