Florian Götzinger

Dr Florian Götzinger is a pediatric pneumologist, trained in Austria, France and the United Kingdom and holds diplomas in Tropical Medicine and Pediatric Infectious Diseases. He is program director for Pediatric Infectious Diseases for the Vienna Healthcare Group and works as a consultant in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Health & the Austrian National Reference Centre for Childhood Tuberculosis at Klinik Ottakring, Vienna. In 2016 he established the first outpatient clinic in Austria focusing solely on refugee children to provide equitable, accessible, and culturally appropriate healthcare and to overcome the barriers of the local healthcare system for this vulnerable group of patients. He is also chair of the division for Transcultural Pediatrics and deputy chair of the working group for Pediatric Infectious Diseases for the Austrian Society of Pediatrics. Since 2021 he is visiting professor at the Vienna Medical University,Since 2025 Florian is commuting between Vienna and Islamabad to work as the TACTiC (TACTiC – tuberculosis in children | MSF) national implementer for Médecins Sans Frontières in Pakistan.

Folke Christina Brinkmann

Professor Folke Christina Brinkmann is a pediatric pneumologist and infectiologist trained in Germany and the United Kingdom. She is head of the department of pediatric pneumology and allergology at the University Hospital Schleswig – Holstein in Lübeck, Germany. Folke was the chair of ptbnet for several years. At present she is the chair of the working group for typical and non-typical mycobacterial infections for the German Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases. Furthermore, Folke works for the Robert Koch Institute´s Expert Council on Pandemic Respiratory Infections and is also involved in infection research at the German Lung Centre. In addition to this she is on the board of the German Society for Pediatric Pneumology and collaborates closely with WHO Europe in her areas of expertise.
