Our speaker:
Dr. Ilaria Motta is infectious diseases physician with experience in managing HIV and TB infections in resource-limited settings.
She works as Medical Monitor for TB PRACTECAL Clinical Trial and as Clinical Advisor for EndTB Clinical Trial. She has completed her PhD project focusing on the pharmacokinetics of TB drugs and currently undertaking MSc in Public Health. In 2015 she worked for MSF in the Central African Republic as a medical doctor.
Our expert:
Dr. Lorenzo Guglielmetti is a Medical Doctor and infectious Diseases specialist, holding a MSc and PhD in Epidemiology.
He is currently co-Principal Investigator of two MSF-sponsored Phase III MDR-TB clinical trials and is affiliated to the French National Reference Center for Mycobacteria in Paris, France. His main research goal is improving the treatment of drug-resistant tuberculosis by studying new, shorter, safe and effective regimens. Dr. Guglielmetti has been part of the Steering Committee of TBnet since 2014.
