At the TBnet Spring Scientific Meeting where we will provide information about ongoing and future TBnet studies. Program and link to the meeting here: https://www.tbnet.eu/post/spring-scientific-tbnet-meeting-may-27-2021

Recently, TBnet has announced a call for projects. Several new proposals have been submitted and will be presented during the TBnet Scientific Meeting. We would like to encourage TBnet members to join and find out more about the projects and how to participate in these studies. We also hope for more projects to be submitted in future to TBnet network to drive clinical TB research in European Region.

For inspiration, we invited a speaker who’s clinical trial resulted in an important finding. We are very happy that Payam Nahid, Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, will present on "Four-month rifapentine regimens with or without moxifloxacin for tuberculosis” during the TBnt Scientific meeting.

“Dr. Nahid is Associate Director of Clinical Trials Operations in the UCSF Office of Research, and Medical Director of the UCSF CTSA Trials Innovation Network Hub. His research includes the conduct of clinical trials and translational research in TB with the goal of improving the care of patients with TB and HIV/TB worldwide. Dr. Nahid leads NIH and CDC-funded field studies of new TB diagnostics, Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials in TB therapeutics and latent TB infection treatment implementation studies.” Read more about our guest speaker here: https://profiles.ucsf.edu/payam.nahid
